Our ambition is to help local authorities draw on trained veteran volunteers when communities face disruption.

Veterans carry practical skills, discipline, teamwork and experience. Veterans Corps aims to organise that capability so it may support local communities during civil emergencies through recognised channels.
Possible activity could include welfare support, logistics, rest-centre assistance, distribution of essential supplies and help during severe weather, according to local need and volunteer training.

Prepared volunteers
Members choose whether to participate and receive role-appropriate preparation.
Defined tasks
Volunteers work only within agreed roles, boundaries and insurance arrangements.
Clear boundaries
We do not self-deploy.
Veterans Corps is not a statutory emergency responder, government body, armed-forces organisation or replacement for the emergency services.
Any emergency-support role proceeds only through formal coordination and suitable local arrangements.
